December has nearly been and gone, and since restrictions were lifted it's been the busiest and craziest time ever with some incredibly special gigs and performances to remember.
The most significant was perhaps the enormous Performance of A Lifetime with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl on December 13 & 14. These were two gigantic nights of some of the country's most respected and talented stars joining this world-class orchestra to sing and perform perhaps the single most diverse set list the world has ever seen! And I was beyond lucky to be up there laying down some keys and leading the rhythm section alongside my good friends Kieran Rafferty (Drums), Patrick Schmidli (Bass), and Troy Downward (Guitar).
A Christmas unlike any other demands a concert unlike any other! And A Very Big Band Christmas this will certainly be a gig to remember with an incredible lineup of some of the finest vocalists in the business, and featuring the full 18-piece Jack Earle Big Band! Make sure you BOOK TICKETS as this one is selling fast!
As for the rest of December, keep an eye and ear on your televisions on Christmas Eve as there'll be a couple of original arrangements by yours truly at Carols by Candlelight, and I will be accompanying the incredible David Campbell for his tune as well!
I'll also be heading to Sydney with Tina Arena's band to bring in the new year with some sexy hammond organ - so might be worth checking that one out as well!
All the best for the holiday season, and stay away from the deadly plague!
