July Gigs

Hope you're all staying away from that wretched virus everyone! Please stay safe, and well; remain positive and test negative!

In and amongst rehearsals for The Who's Tommy with Victorian Opera (which I'm thrilled to be the Musical Director for) I have a couple of gigs coming up which I'd love to see some familiar faces at, so thank you for following and for your continued support!

L'Artigiano are a beautiful Italian restaurant located at 75-77 Upper Heidelberg Road

Ivanhoe who feature live music every Sunday evening. They have amazing food, wine, and coffee, so book a table online or call (03) 9499 6988 to reserve a spot!

Harriett Allcroft is my amazing friend who I've been lucky to work with for a number of years.

Effervescent vocalist Harriett Allcroft is known for her mesmerising yet light-hearted style.

Leading her self-titled group, Harriett performs original contemporary jazz with trademark playfulness and whimsy and in 2019, was a finalist for the Jazz Bell Awards ‘Best Australian Jazz Vocal Album’ for her debut album Archie.

In 2016 she was a finalist in the prestigious James Morrison Vocal Scholarship and has been featured in Frankie Magazine and received airplay on ABC Radio. Harriett has appeared at both the Melbourne International Jazz Festival (2019) and the Melbourne Women’s International Jazz Festival (2018).

I first became aware of the incredible album Pilgrimage by Michael Brecker in 2015 whilst attending Berklee College of Music. My amazing teacher Suzanna Sifter assigned me the task of transcribing some Herbie Hancock and Brad Mehldau solos from the album. It was mindblowing.

After many hours transcribing these tunes, I'm teaming up with my trio (Kieran Rafferty - Drums, Patrick Schmidli - Bass) and my friends Carlo Barbaro & Harry Tinney to recreate one of the finest albums ever made.

We would love to get a crowd there to share in the love of this incredible music so please BOOK A TICKET

Jess is my amazing friend who writes amazing songs and plays with an amazing band! I've been craving a gig with her for ages so I'm super excited to be playing with her at the Paris Cat on the 23rd and 30th

I would love to see you at one (or all!) of these gigs, so do please book tickets and come and support live music - especially at this time!
